Happy Sunday, friend!

Do you ever wish you could go back and relive the worst times of your life??

No? Me neither.

But this week we’re going back in time to some of the WORST times of the Israelites' lives and getting to enjoy their headstrong wickedness again. Hooray?

It's time to dive into this week's Come Follow Me reading: 2 Chronicles 14-20; 26; 30!​

5 Key Events

  1. SOUTH: King Asa is awesome, gets rid of idols, and helps bring Judah back to the Lord, who saves them from their enemies (2 Chronicles 14–15)
  2. SOUTH: King Asa, unfortunately, relies on an alliance with Syria instead of trusting the Lord and is rebuked by the prophet Hanani, then dies (2 Chronicles 16)
  3. SOUTH: King Jehoshaphat leads the kingdom of Judah to trust in the Lord, which helps them triumph against their enemies (2 Chronicles 17–20)
  4. SOUTH: The Lord blesses King Uzziah when he’s righteous, but then he attempts to act in the place of a temple priest by burning incense and is struck with leprosy (2 Chronicles 26)
  5. SOUTH: King Hezekiah restores temple worship and invites all Israel to celebrate a great Passover in Jerusalem (2 Chronicles 30)
